For the past several years, our Young Adult group has participated in the Angel Tree Project. This is a special event held around Christmas that enables children of incarcerated parents to enjoy their own special Christmas and receive gifts on behalf of that parent. Names of children and a brief history, including age, sizes, and items wished for Christmas, are provided and distributed to those wishing to participate. New gifts are purchased for that child and labeled with the name and a personal message from the incarcerated parent. Gifts are delivered or shipped to the home of the child.
Angel tree is open to all who want to participate, but the names of children go quickly. If you are interested, please contact the church office for more information.
